Are you investing the same effort into your employer brand as you do your customer-facing brand? A strong employer brand attracts and retains employees, turns them into advocates for your company, and differentiates one organization from the next.
Companies that ignore the need for employer branding are silently stating, “Our customers are important, our employees are more of an afterthought.” Remember, when you ask employees to care for customers, you’re asking them to basically care for strangers. Sure, it’s their “job” but still consider, as a leader are you treating your team members with the same care and concern you ask them to extend to customers?
Leaders, reflect on these facts that are based on feedback from surveyed employees and consider whether your employees are the exception or the rule.
